Equality

They say all creatures were born equal.

Apparently we’re all the same.

It is a pretty thought I must agree, but can be only believed by idle beings.

Just look at the world. Turn on your TV from the comfort of your couch.

If we were all created equal then how come there is no equality.

Why are some born with greatness and others physical and mental diseases that might regard them to some as useless?

Why do some people die from bountiful amounts of food while others perish in pain from hunger?

Equality is a theory, a beautiful theory but a theory nonetheless.

It can be taught in schools, we can try to believe it in our hearts, but like most theories, it only belongs in books with pretty pictures because there is no space for it in the real world.

There are many factors that interfere with this ideology, race, gender, wealth, status, physical and mental capacity but Β it doesn’t even matter what factor is creating inequality, what matters is that there is inequality.

You and Me are not the same.

The sooner we accept it, the sooner we’ll move forward.

”The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal.” –Β Aristotle

  1. This reminds me of people claiming that All Lives Matter when in reality they don’t. It’s the most hypocritical statement to make. Just a load of crap that you add to the pile.
    :/
    I agree with your thoughts.

    1. I totally agree. Especially in today’s society we see so many countries claiming they are a democracy and believe in equality but their actions state otherwise. The very least they could do is to be honest with themselves.
